TALKING

SHELVES

ATTENTION!

The Marginal Changemakers are coming to TAKEOVER your local independant bookstores in a vibrant celebration of all things comics!

Talking Shelves aims to celebrate what usually gets left behind in mainstream media for the wrong reasons - to us, this means comic books and work by marginalised creators!

We want to uplift and celebrate these often hidden gems and have them be recognised in the way we think it truly deserves!

Talking Shelves is a campaign made in collaboration with local independent bookshops. On 3rd August there will be two physical locations - Dead Ink Books and Bear Hunt Books, where you can see our handpicked featured reccs, chat about comics with other fans, recommend your own faves and browse your local independent bookstore’s comic section! The Marginal Changemakers will also be on hand, sharing book recommendations and chatting about comics!

If you want to join in from further afield, please @comicsyouth on instagram with #talkingshelves with your favourite comics by marginalised authors!

Alternatively, if you’re a bookseller, get involved by making a display of graphic novels and manga by marginalised creators! Take a photo of your display and share it online! Don’t forget to @comicsyouth and use the #talkingshelves so we can share it as well!
